 STAND UP for White Ribbon

The White Ribbon campaign…

The White Ribbon campaign is a global male led campaign to prevent violence against women. The Department of Communities’ “STAND UP for White Ribbon” project is Western Australia’s contribution to the global initiative.

This year, we invited 22 inspirational Western Australian ‘men of influence’ to stand up for the cause and condemn violence against women. By pledging their support and sharing this important message through their networks, these men join the global movement to #STANDUP4WhiteRibbon.

To show your support and motivate an end to violence against women, please download an image from the 2018 campaign, print it out and place it in your office, around your workplace or community centre.

The 2018 STAND UP for White Ribbon images will also be on display:

  •  At the State Theatre Centre, Perth from 22 November to 10 December.
  •  On the Yagan Square Digital Tower on 23 November (White Ribbon Day), and on the Perth Cultural Centre Big Screen and the Northbridge Piazza Superscreen from 22 November to 10 December.
  • On poster paste-ups throughout the Perth metropolitan and Fremantle areas. Together we can stop violence against women. .
