MasterCard Prepaid Card
Welcome to your MasterCard Prepaid Card
The Prepaid Card allows you to purchase goods or services anywhere MasterCard is accepted. When using the card, select ‘credit’ at the payment terminal and sign to complete the transaction. Your signature will be matched with your signature on the back of the card, so please ensure you sign the back of the card immediately at time of receipt.
Your Prepaid Card can be used for multiple transactions at multiple suppliers, as long as the funds have not run out or reached their expiry date.
This Prepaid Card cannot be used at an ATM or for purchases on the internet.
Conditions of Use
Use of the card is subject to the Prepaid Card Conditions of Use.
A cardholder website is available for you to check your balance, transaction history and funds expiry date.

1. Where can I use my card?
The Prepaid Card can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted. However, you cannot use your card at an ATM or on the internet.
2. What do I do if the purchase total is more than the card amount?
If the total cost of your purchase is greater than the amount loaded on the card, you will be required to pay the difference. Please ensure you advise the checkout operator of the card value, and pay the difference as required.
3. When do my funds expire?
The expiry date for funds will be set and advised to you by the district officer when the card is issued. This, in all likelihood, will not be the expiry date as shown on the card. Please refer to the information provided to you at the district office, or log-in to the cardholder website to confirm the expiry date of your card.
The expiry time is 10pm WA time. However, during daylight saving period, the expiry time is 9pm WA time. If you are unsure, please work on the basis that the expiry time is 9pm.
4. How can I check the balance of my account?
You can check the balance of your account via the cardholder website provided by the Department in conjunction with the Commonwealth Bank.
5. If I have an enquiry, complaint or dispute, who can I contact?
For enquiries about the card and how to use it, please contact your local district office.
For complaints about the card not working, or a dispute regarding a transaction performed on your card, please telephone the Commonwealth Bank of Australia on 13 15 76.
6. What do I do if I lose or damage my card?
If you misplace or damage your card, please contact your local district office and notify them that the card is missing or damaged. They will be able to block the card, and reissue a new one if no funds have been used.
7. What do I do if my card isn’t working?
Funds can take up to an hour before they are available for use – ensure you have allowed enough time before attempting to use the card.
